Good times for a great cause! Childrens Hospital/Los Feliz to Montalban theatre in Hollywood, riding with Lance for 2 miles on a blocked off Sunset Blvd. are you fucking kidding me! Even though i didn’t see him on the bike it was still cool riding with the sea of yellow! Lance is in picture 2 on the stage with Villaraigosa and Garcetti..

So this is either the stupidest or raddest thing that i’ve done with a bike. I always seem to customize/destroy shit, whichever way you want to look at it. Is it better to have a killer bike you never ride or another fixie that you’ll mob all the time? This bike has received so many compliments its pitiful, if only my Atala were so lucky. I don’t really know but sometimes you just have to say what the fuck..

So i’m finally out of the Descanso Manor, a 1920’s brick brownstone that shoulda been condemned years ago. It has been affectionately referred to as a shithole by many including myself..many good times here, wrote alot of songs, did a ton of journaling and musically recorded some of the lowest fi acoustic tracks imaginable, drank a million beers on the roof looking at the high rises of downtown LA, and basically fell in love with the Eastside.
Rode all over the streets of Hollywood, the Eastside, the Westside and Downtown. Daytime rides, nighttime rides, solo rides at midnight on a Wednesday night, LA is a great fucking bike city for a bunch of car loving people and a beautiful place at 2 in the morning with no cars on the streets.
Was in the basement for 4 years, bars on the windows looking up to the sidewalk and on the 2nd floor for 1 year looking down on the murals and spray and wash car wash. No kitchen sink for 5 years and no gas in the stove for 1 year. Jeez i’m gonna miss this shithole! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well here you go -

Was on the east coast for the Holidaze and found this little track/fixed boutique on the LES (lower east side). If you are in the big apple you GOTTA roll by this store! Such a dee ooh pee eeeee little store that coulda fucking killed my Visa card quickly! Frames, parts, wheels, accessories the whole 9! They were even closed when me and my lover rolled in (hey, the door was open) but the heads were so cool that they let us browse for a bit and then roll out with a coupla items. Sometimes i wish i lived in the NYC…
